Top 8

All right, this is what we have been waiting for. From June - September, months of grueling battles, feuds and what not, the dusk has settled down and 8 competitors from their respective servers, competitions stand proud.

What can we expect from the 8 talented teams that we currently have, each are gunning not only for glory but the chance to represent the Philippines in the upcoming RWC competition to be held at LU Live come October.

From the tiresome nights spent in front of the pc to the lumps of money spent on transpo, rentals, loads and other stuff, one might say from their respective guilds,

"Sulit ang pagod at hirap"

From our point of view, my guild, we can only look back 5 years ago when we were formerly known as the Legion of Vindicators (Rad Computers) and now illuminati ™ and say

"We are back"

Game Hero

hmm.. GAME HERO... hmm...

How does that term sound? Good isn't it? Achieving numerous awards, accolades or whatever that could establish your name and sound like a catch phrase in the neighborhood.

Question is, is it in you?

Many people can lay claim that they deserve to be nominated as a Game Hero. Some can give out hearsay accomplishments, some may even claim something in behalf of someone. How is this measured?? So many questions that some people are saying,

"Who's the hell is that?"
"What in the world did he accomplish?"
"I'm much better than him/her!"

The latter is one of the most notable remark I have ever heard. Saying he/she accomplished something that the management can see, while this guy or girl is proud of his/her accomplishment all by himself.

Picture this, one office worker gets the credit while you who does this routinary work doesn't get anything at all. Say, "sipsip"?? Nah, i wouldn't even consider that as one of the things that will bolster your status.

Its just that some people has equally made the same accomplishments as they have but yet still stay hidden. (camera shy ata! ahaha) Or basically not that type of person. I mean either way, that type of attitude wont get you nowhere.

Changing NOWHERE to NOW HERE would be of better help to boost up your confidence.

RWC in Manila

For the past few months, LU (Level Up) has been stirring something that would excite every online gamer especially for Ragnarok Online, they'll be organizing the RWC tournament here in the Philippines.

This is somewhat a test of will and power if you really want to represent the Philippines in the said tournament. And since there is an annual competition that would actually bolster the chance of grabbing the flag to represent our country, this is an all out war against co-players.

Alliances, factions, NAP, these are the terms commonly used in an Agit Lords Season held annually. Strategies to map out plans, EBs to personalize the planning session which would eventually lead to the normal booze nights (lol), non-stop sieges (3x a week), resource mapping (almost everyday, ATMs, wallet, mom? dad??) and balancing RL status (gf/bf, family, school, friends, work).

Only the team who has mapped out properly of course with Lady Luck on their side will get the chance to be the standard bearer of the Philippine Team. (olympics ang dating! ahah)

Aside from Ragnarok Online, they (LU) will be hosting a couple of tournaments for the games that they offer, but i wont mind them on that, i'll just sit back and relax and cheer whoever represents the Philippine Team.

Mabuhay Team Pilipinas! \m/

Sum of my online life.

alright, so this is my first time to blog. actually, on a cold early monday morning, (fan is whispering on my ears, ahah!) couldn't have chosen the right time to actually time to type something.

i came home
from work thinking that i could rest, but what happened was i needed to hook up and be updated with the first 2 episodes of prison break season 4 and as i type this, im finished watching.

for the past few months, starting from april till late last month, I would honestly say that i wasn't the perso
n who'd my gf, friends, office mates would actually know. I have been pretending to be the same person since i was focused with a little bit of something, let's call it, a child's play.

Yes, probably you'd say playing Ragnarok Online is for a child or basically for someone who ha
s not been exposed to the entire online gaming fracas, this is for starters. I can say that for almost 5 years of playing, which includes the time we laylo'd from playing, im still addicted with this game.

From November 2007 till present which includes the busiest months of April, May, June, July, August, i have spent most of my life infront of my pc. From having my character leveling to siege wars. Heck, i'd even lie to my gf if she's asking me what im doing (good thing she's considerate).

Enough of what i have mentioned above, maybe this is good place to vent out how i'm really feeling right now. We (meaning my guild) are in a good position to qualify for the finals. Even if we fail in doing so (im crossing my fingers, eyes, toes), i could not sum up this feeling. Money spent on playing and achieving something, considered as underdogs (nobody really bothered counting us in), we are just so damn lucky that we progressed.

And right now, as they prepare themselves, i can only look at them and even say "Good Luck", i feel that i've done my part as a GM of our guild and as a friend for everybody.
